Are You A Brand Conscious Consumer?

One key area in consumer preference as far as their choice for certain items is the brand or manufacturer of consumer goods. There are a lot of companies that have carved a name for themselves in the business industry, namely, Nokia, Gatorade, Microsoft, Ford, Toyota, Honda, Marlboro, Winston, Hewlett Packard and IBM among others. Each has their own specific specialization and field, something that has been left in the brand awareness for each respective category.

Brand Management is a key tool in successful marketing practices. A good, no matter how promising and efficient it is, will eventually underachieve and may falter in the market if there is no specific reason for it to be reliable and preferred over its competitors. Durability, customer service, warranties and added benefits are among the key areas that the consumer market will put into consideration. It is never about just present features but also past history as far as their business reference history is concerned.


Building brand awareness in the market for business entities is never an easy thing. Time is a key element and the foundation of a business will always be looked at. Such business and corporate giants have invested a lot in their initial years and the successful entities can look back at their achievement and loyal customer base as a means of determining why such product brands are continuously endorsed by people to this day.

Hahaha.... How did Chin Chin get away with flogging coke's design?

I'm guessing like that other Arebic anti-coke brand, coke knows a lawsuit would be too much free advertising.

I'd love to see them sold in Japan, where their name is 'Penis'.

Oh and i am brand concious, but more in the sense of avoiding certain brands, than seeking.

really? wow I never noticed that. Thanks for the observation and I will bring that up with them.

Your doing your homework! I know it meant something offensive in japan lol. Thats the reason Im not too keen on havin my people offer them to japanese establishment hahaha.

Yes, Chin Chin's branding is quite similar to Coca-Cola. When it comes to food, i do go for brand names but not so much with clothes.

Yeah I did a unit on marketing - they emphasised again and again on the importance of brand.

Yeah, brand is truly one important aspect that marketing relies on today. It is not merely about advertising and promotions but by creating a brand niche to which people can be confident on really.
